How we Geek
Fitness, Food, and Fun
You walk through the door of the pub, and someone at a table of 5 waves you over: there’s one spot left, and it’s yours. You walk over to meet your party. The adventure begins, the company is complete.
Food is good
Good food that will fuel your body efficiently and get you that much closer to being the bad-ass hero you really are.
Fitnses, physical training, whatever you want to call it, it doesn’t have to be miserable. It can be epic. It can be fun. It can be both at the same time. 30min a day at home is a simple price to pay for the epic-levels of awesome you’ll reach.
Contrary to popular belief, you *don’t* have to give up fun and games to be healthy, fit, and a productive member of society, and we’re living proof. Join us for our weekly game sessions, or start a new meet-up if your favorite game is missing!

Leading by Example
A weekly update on my workouts as well as my current work-related goal. You can also see my progress for the book I'm reading right now, and the game I'm playing. Because life is no fun if it's just work work work, right? And that's not how we're meant to live. The idea that we should be growing out of our hobbies is ridiculous. Life is about growth and balance. Check back here to see my steady progress, not just in work, but in recreational activities as well. It's not only possible, it's actually quite simple. It may not be easy at times, but it can be done. And no one's going to make sure it happens except you. Take responsibility for ALL aspects of your life and make it happen .

“What’s the point of being grown up if you can’t be childish sometimes?”
We are the team behind the curtain! We make these challenges and this community happen. We endeavor to create a safe space where we can celebrate our amazing geeky selves and encourage others to do the same. We work together to make the world a better place, one precious individual human life at a time. Through love. Through persistence. Through courage. Through hope.

Nutrition Tip: if you “can’t say no” then just don’t buy it seriously guys, being healthy doesn’t mean never indulging again, but until you’ve got some discipline worked into your system, some things just need to stay out of the grocery cart for me it’s chips/salty snacks for others it’s sweets One of my first[…]
I keep hearing about these friends of mine who’re losing weight using this “keto” diet thing. Hey, it’s working for them. I’m happy they’re making progress on their goals. If you want to give up a whole food group for the sake of losing weight, then be my guest. I’ll be over here, keeping the[…]
It is high time I got a dessert recipe up in here! This baby is delicious: molten chocolate cake in a mug. It’s PERFECT for right after dinner. Not too sweet, but amaaaazingly chocolatey. Guh. So good. And guess what? It’s gluten-free *and* dairy free (unless you count the egg as dairy… but I mean no milk![…]
This past week, my body has been fighting a cold like a champ. I’ve been fighting since Tuesday and didn’t actually start feeling it till Friday. Like. A. Champ. Now, I could start popping Airborne and Emergen-C… but I’m not gonna. Look at that ingredients list and sugar content. No thank you! These are my[…]
For this Good Food Friday, I wanted to share one of my favorite soup recipes. I know I know, the last recipe I shared was soup, but this soup is a little more complex. And on the exceedingly rare occasion I’m fighting a cold (like today), this soup is absolute bliss. Talk about comfort foods.[…]
Final Fantasy XV. I didn’t know it, but this is the game I’ve been waiting for. I fell in love with Final Fantasy at age 13 (I’m currently 26, almost 27). A friend of my brother’s brought his PS1 over and I started up one of the games. It was Final Fantasy IX. It stole[…]
This recipe came about because I was craving something wholesome and yummy, easy to digest… I wanted chicken noodle soup! But I didn’t want all the chemical and processed crap from the soup in cans. So we decided to throw this together! When we say dash, we mean dash, We didn’t really measure much of anything[…]
Shepherd’s Pie!!! This is one of my all-time favorite dishes (The Field and Shakespeare’s in San Diego have the BEST Shepherd’s Pie!). But to be completely honest, we’re still tweaking this particular recipe to our tastes! (It’s hard to compete with the two pubs mentioned above) SO. If you see anything you wanna try or[…]
